Application of Amino Energy, Adept and Mind Agro.Bio fertilizers for tomatoes
Experiment 44
The experiment was conducted in Makarovsky district of Kyiv region with tomatoes of variety No. 1. The soil is sandy, plowing is in spring, the predecessor is cucumbers. Humic fertilizers were introduced in accordance with the data in the table. Ammonia water, calcium nitrate, superphosphate and potassium were introduced into the nests at the rate of N10P10K10 kg/ha.
The results of crop accounting and the economic efficiency of fertilizers are presented in Table 38.

The efficiency of Adept and Amino Energy was 37.5% and 24%, respectively, which is higher than that of ammonia water and ammonia water with superphosphate. The conditional net income from humic fertilizers exceeds the income from mineral fertilizers.
Experience 45
A production experiment with tomatoes of variety No. 2 was conducted in Cherkassy district on leached podzolized chernozem. Autumn plowing, the predecessor was cabbage. Fertilizers were applied during planting. The beginning of flowering in variants with humic fertilizers was observed 3-4 days earlier than the control.
The results of the harvest accounting are presented in Table 39.

Experiments 46 and 47
The experiments were conducted in 2019 in the Zaporizhia region with tomatoes of variety No. 1 on ordinary light loamy chernozem. The predecessor was cabbage after alfalfa. In the spring, 22 t/ha of manure were applied for cultivation. During the growing season, 3 furrow irrigations were carried out at a rate of 400–500 m³/ha. Fertilizers were applied when planting seedlings.
The results are presented in Tables 40 and 41.

Adept 2 l/ha | 873 | 132 | 15.2 | 66.0 |
NP (equivalent to 2 t Adept) | 748 | 7 | 3.0 | — |
The analysis shows that Adept is a highly effective fertilizer for tomatoes and is economically justified. The optimal dose is 1.5–2 l/ha. Adept turned out to be more effective than an equivalent set of mineral fertilizers.
Experience 48
The experiment was conducted in the Kuibyshevsky district of the Zaporizhzhya region on ordinary medium-loamy chernozem without irrigation. The predecessor was tomatoes. Fertilizers were applied when planting seedlings.
The results are presented in Table 42.

Experience 49
The experiment was conducted in 3-fold repetition in Novomoskovsk district of Dnepropetrovsk region on a non-irrigated plot. The area of the plot is 1 ha, the predecessor is cucumbers, under which 10 t/ha of humus was introduced. Adept 2 l/ha was introduced simultaneously with sowing of seeds. After emergence, thinning was carried out, two plants were left in the nests.
The results are presented in Table 43.

Control - no fertilizers | 510 | — | — | — |
Adept 2 l/ha | 555 | 45 | 8.2 | 22.5 |
The yield increased by 8.2%. The experiment was conducted with a non-seedling crop, the first harvest of fruits was on August 18. The yield according to Adept in the first harvest was twice as high as the control, which indicates the effect of the preparation on ripening. After four harvests, the difference between the fertilized and control plots disappeared.
Experience 50
The experiment was conducted in Novomoskovsk district of Dnipropetrovsk region on sandy loam low-humus chernozem. The predecessor was cabbage. In spring, 10 t/ha of humus were added for cultivation (background). When planting seedlings, 2 l/ha of Adept preparation were added. Over the summer, 6 waterings and 2 additional feedings were carried out: with potassium salt (1 c/ha 15 days after planting) and superphosphate (1.5 c/ha in the first half of June).
Two weeks after planting, the plants in the fertilized plot developed more vigorously, more abundant flowering and early ripening were observed. Fruit harvesting began three days earlier than the control, and the yield was twice as high in the first month.
The results are presented in Table 44.

Experiment 51
The experiment was conducted on chestnut sandy loam soils of the Kherson region with tomatoes of variety No. 3. Area — 1 ha, 3-fold repetition, registration plot — 1000 m². Predecessor — zucchini. 10 t/ha of manure were applied under plowing (26–27 cm), and the tested fertilizers were applied during planting. During the growing season, 5 irrigations of 250–300 m³/ha were carried out. The first ripe tomatoes appeared on July 8 in plots with Adept Agro.Bio, mass harvesting began on July 18.
The results are presented in Table 45.

Indicator | Control | Adept 2 l/ha at planting |
---|---|---|
Fruit yield, c/ha | 262 | 326 |
Control gain, % | 100 | 124 |
Experiment 52
The experiment was conducted in the Kherson region on chestnut soils with irrigation. Adept fertilizer was applied before planting seedlings (8–10 c/ha). The yield in the control was 205 c/ha, with Adept — 280 c/ha.
The action is based on the stimulating effect of small concentrations of soluble humates. Now the fertilizers are used in almost all control fields.
Conclusion
Analysis of production tests of humic fertilizers in various soil and climate zones of Ukraine confirms their effectiveness in increasing tomato yields. Efficiency and optimal doses vary by zone, as shown in Table 48.
Table 48: Efficiency of humic fertilizers and recommended doses
Zone | Culture | Yield increase at optimal dose, c/ha | Increase, % | Recommended Dose |
---|---|---|---|---|
Polesie | Tomatoes | 30–60 | 15–60 | 2 l/ha |
Forest-steppe | Tomatoes | 40–50 | 15–25 | 2 l/ha |
Steppe | Tomatoes | 65–100 | 30–40 | 2 l/ha |
Comparison with mineral fertilizers and organic standards showed that humic fertilizers from Agro.Bio provide higher yield increases. From an economic point of view, they reduce the cost of production compared to composts and humus. All farms received additional income, depending on the crop and sales conditions. Acceleration of ripening and improvement of product quality also contribute to economic efficiency.
These issues require further study taking into account zonal soil conditions.
